Our history
Telehouse Canada is a subsidiary of the KDDI Corporation, a Fortune 500 company and one of Japan’s leading telecommunications service providers that focuses on creating smart infrastructures through IoT technologies and open innovation. With a 58 million-strong customer base, KDDI has a rich history spanning 70 years and opened its first purpose-built colocation data centre in Europe in 1990.
Telehouse data centres are strategically located in prime city locations around the world, offering key connections between major cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, New York and Tokyo.
Our data centres provide North America with direct access to connectivity partners, including carriers, ISPs and ASPs through our dark fibre network. Today, we host one of Canada’s the most connected colocation facilities.

Our family of data centres are all strategically placed in more than 40 locations across more than 20 cities and over 10 countries. From Paris to Shanghai, we maintain optimum SLA uptime standards of 99.999% across all our networks.
Our network of data centres continues to grow, since we opened our first data centre in 1989, including the addition of 3 data centres following our expansion into Canada in 2023.
London
Telehouse operates five data centres in London at its Docklands campus powered by 100% renewable energy procured from certified wind, solar, biomass and hydro generators.
Frankfurt
We operate Frankfurt’s largest data centre campus in the Kleyerstrasse area, the city’s telecommunications hub and location of a high number of carriers and ISPs.
Istanbul
Telehouse Istanbul is one of the first carrier neutral data centre facilities in Turkey. Situated in the growing trade centre area of Kozyatagı it offers our customers a wide range of connectivity options.
